Savile Row Bespoke

History

Estb. 1865, Dege & Skinner is one of two family-run bespoke tailoring houses on London’s historic Savile Row and the only one to have a permanent shirt-cutting service based in the shop, where all our bespoke shirts are cut and made.

In 2016, we introduced our first selection of ready-to-wear suits and blazers, available to buy from our online shop, as well as from 10 Savile Row in central London.

Renowned experts in civilian and sports clothing, as well as the tailoring of military uniforms, the Skinner family has been dressing royalty, businessmen, professionals, the military and discerning individuals for over a century and a half (so far!).

Most recently HRH Prince Harry wore the frock coat of the Blues & Royals, made by us on Savile Row, when he married Meghan Markle and our uniforms can also be seen in the official portrait hanging in the National Portrait Gallery of TRH Princes William and Harry when they were commissioned into the Blues & Royals Regiment of the British Army.

Our expertise in the creation of military uniforms is also recognised by the world famous V&A Museum, who hold a uniform of The Royal Lancers Regiment in their archive, as featured in their hugely popular ‘What is Luxury?’ exhibition.

Managing Director William Skinner is also the elected Chairman of Savile Row Bespoke Association. Set up in 2004, the organisation is dedicated to protecting and promoting the practices and traditions that have made Savile Row the acknowledged home of the best bespoke tailoring and a byword for unequalled quality around the world.
