Estb. 1865, Dege & Skinner is one of two family-run bespoke tailoring houses to remain in Savile Row and the only one to have a permanent shirt-cutting service based in the shop, where all our bespoke shirts are cut.
Renowned experts in civilian and sports clothing, as well as the tailoring of military uniforms, the Skinner family has been dressing royalty, businessmen, professionals, the military and discerning individuals for over a century and a half (so far!).
We recently celebrated our 150th anniversary and a new chapter of our company’s history started in 2012 when we moved our tailoring workshops into the basement underneath the shop at Number 10 Savile Row.
Our expertise in the creation of military uniforms is recognised by the world famous V&A Museum, our uniform for The Royal Lancers Regiment appearing in their recent ‘What is Luxury?’ exhibition.
In 2016, we introduced our first selection of ready-to-wear suits and blazers, available to buy from the new online shop, as well as from 10 Savile Row in central London.
Managing Director William Skinner is also the elected Chairman of Savile Row Bespoke Association. Set up in 2004, the organisation is dedicated to protecting and promoting the practices and traditions that have made Savile Row the acknowledged home of the best bespoke tailoring and a byword for unequalled quality around the world.
