Savile Row Bespoke

Latest News

October 2015

For the official launch of ‘The Campaign for Wool’s’ annual Wool Week in England, two flocks of sheep returned to Savile Row after a five-year gap to promote the use of wool in bespoke tailoring. HRH The Prince Of Wales is Patron of The Campaign for Wool.

For this special occasion, Bespoke Cutter and European representative Tristan Thorne cut an eye-catching three-piece suit for model Ryan to wear. Ryan can be seen here on the left, with Tristan and Douglas Cordeaux, the Creative Director at Fox Brothers, the esteemed West Country woollen mill that makes the cloth chosen by Tristan for his creation.

This 13/14oz 100% lambswool navy windowpane cloth enabled Tristan to create what he describes as a ‘hybrid suit’, something that can be easily worn in the city or indeed the countryside, and still look elegant. Our bespoke shirt-cutting department chose to cut and make a cotton/woollen mix shirt, which was matched with a pure wool tie.

We made GQ’s Best Dressed List, of course!
