Savile Row Bespoke

Latest News

October 2016

Here at number 10 Savile Row we are proud supporters of the ‘Campaign For Wool’, a cross-industry global initiative convened by its Patron HRH The Prince of Wales in January 2010.

Since then, on two separate occasions Savile Row in the heart of London has been closed to traffic so that flocks of sheep could graze on natural pasture, tended by their shepherd and sheep dogs, to promote the use of wool in bespoke tailoring and fashion.

Most recently, Coat Maker Alex Hills who is training under the guidance of Saâd Ktifi and competing in the Golden Shears in 2017, was invited to attend a wool conference at Dumfries House to showcase the quality of his bespoke tailoring created in our workshop underneath the shop on Savile Row.

This event, which has been referred to by The Prince of Wales as the ‘Davos of Wool’, was one of the largest and most prestigious international gathering of wool experts ever held in the United Kingdom.

Guests included Paolo Zegna, chairman of Ermenegildo Zegna, the cloth chosen by Alex to create his striking sports jacket and Nicholas Coleridge CBE, President of Condé Nast International and Chairman of the Campaign for Wool.
