The world of bespoke tailoring is familiar to some and a new experience for others. So here we try to answer the usual questions we're asked about the bespoke making process. If you have other specific questions or queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch and one of the team can assist you.
This section specifically covers the bespoke tailoring and bespoke shirt-making departments of Dege & Skinner.
To make a bespoke garment, how long does it normally take?
From your first appointment and the placement of an order, it takes approximately 12 weeks to deliver your bespoke clothing.
Who will I see?
At Dege & Skinner, one cutter is solely responsible for overseeing the entire bespoke making process for an individual customer. From your first appointment to the delivery of the finished garments.
Where will my appointment be?
You have options! Either at number 10 Savile Row in London, or at a location convenient to you in the UK. Alternatively, during one of our overseas trunk shows.
At present we’re restricted from travel due to the pandemic, but hope that will change in the coming months. Details of trunk shows are published online and also in our once a month customer email.
How many fittings will I have?
You’ll have at least two fittings: a ‘baste’ fitting and a forward fitting.
This section covers the online purchase of items from www.dege-skinner.co.uk/shop
How long will it take to receive my online purchases?
As of January 2021, items will be dispatched every 2 working days from our shop located at Number 10, Savile Row in London.
Little hard at the moment to say precisely when you’ll receive your purchases, but as a guide we anticipate 2 -3 days in the UK and within about 5 days for deliveries elsewhere in the world.
We use ‘DHL’ couriers for all deliveries, excluding neck ties. Neck ties are sent via ‘Royal Mail’.
What's your Returns Policy?
Unwanted, faulty, and incorrectly supplied goods may be returned for a refund.
We’ll refund the full value of your order, including shipping costs, within 30 days of receiving your notice of contract cancellation, provided that the cancelled order has been received.
Do you do exchanges?
Yes, we offer a returns and exchange service.
Please let us know your intention of returns/exchanges within seven days of receiving your order.
Return item(s) in their original condition, unused (with their original packaging), with all labels and garment tags still attached within 21 days of receiving your order.
Goods can be taken out of the packaging, but don’t throw it away. Please return it with your goods.
Refunds will be made for the original purchase amount against the original form of tender. Please note that the original shipping fee will be the customer’s responsibility. It’ll be shipped free of charge if you exchange the same item for a different size. However, if you wish to exchange the item for different style, please return it and purchase the new item separately.
None of the above terms affect your statutory rights or your rights under the Consumer Protection Regulations 2000.
All returns should be sent to: Dege & Skinner, 10 Savile Row, London, W1S 3PF, UK. You’re also welcome to return items in person to this same Savile Row shop so we can help you personally.
