Year To Date

The Coronation of HRH King Charles III, Concours on Savile Row with partner Morgan Motor Company, Art In Mayfair with artist and former Royal Marine Richard Rochester, recruitment of talented new members of the cutting team and various busy overseas Trunk Shows. And that’s just a snippet of the last few months for the team here at Number 10 Savile Row!

Royal Occasion

Buckingham Palace kindly and publicly confirmed us as the maker of numerous military and military-inspired uniforms for the Coronation of King Charles III on 6th May 2023. The entire team here at Dege & Skinner, including Chairman and apprentices, worked tirelessly to make sure everyone looked their very best for the globally televised event, said to have been watched by more than 18 million people.

HRH Prince Louis wore a Hainsworth Garter Blue Doeskin Tunic with specially designed lace work embellishment to the collar, cuffs and fronts. The black leg garment complete with Garter Blue stripe.

Royal Approval

In recognition of his outstanding tailoring work for the Coronation, Head Cutter Nicholas De'Ath was awarded the official Coronation Medal by Her Majesty Queen Camilla at Clarence House on 31st May 2023.

Bespoke Tailoring & Super Cars

The second year of Concours on Savile Row, taking place on 24th and 25th May, saw more than 40 world-class cars line up along The Row for this free-to-attend public event.

A List Attraction

Hosting an Open House for our wonderful customers and invited guests, we had the pleasure of welcoming a number of international customers to the event for the first time and we're already taking names for 2024's guestlist.

We had the pleasure of seeing some wonderful car enthusiasts including Hollywood actor Tim Robbins, heroic Victoria Cross Medal holder Johnson Beharry (seen here), Jamiroquai's lead singer Jay Kaye, former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond and British actor, Tom Ward.

Silently Witnessing

Probably best known for his starring role playing Dr. Harry Cunningham for 10 years in the long-running forensic drama series Silent Witness, as well as joining us for Concours on Savile Row, Tom Ward will be featuring in a short online film for Dege & Skinner due for release later this year.

Scottish King

King Charles will be presented with the Honours of Scotland, the oldest crown jewels in Britain, at a service at St Giles' Cathedral on Wednesday 5th July. The ceremony will involve a people's procession of about 100 community groups collecting the honours from Edinburgh Castle.

The Archers

As the Sovereign's official bodyguard in Scotland, the Royal Company of Archers will play a significat role in the proceedings and as Holder of a Royal Warrant, we're delighted to have worked on a large number of the Archers uniforms that will be worn.

The presentation ceremony is a key part of Royal Week, with Charles and Camilla undertaking several engagements in Scotland.

The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, as TRH Prince and Princess of Wales are known in Scotland, will also be attending.

A 21-gun salute will fire from Edinburgh Castle at the end of the St Giles’ service, before the royal procession travels back to the palace. The Stone of Destiny will be in the cathedral during the ceremony, and there will also be a fly-past by the Red Arrows.
