Bespoke Shirt Service

If this is your first time having bespoke shirts made for you, we thought it might be helpful to outline the process so you know what to expect, and what you can look forward to.

01

We meet with you, face to face, to discuss your requirements. This initial meeting can take place at 10 Savile Row, or by appointment during one of our various Trunks Shows.

Together, we browse the wealth of fabric choices in bunches from some of the finest shirt-cloth makers and merchants in the world.

Then it’s different collars and unique styling details for each individual shirt you’re having made. And, it’s not only shirts for work and business. Tom and his team also enjoy making nightwear like pyjamas and dressing gowns, as well as summer shirts and over-sized shirts, ideal for travel.

This is your chance to talk about your preferred style details. If you’re unsure, then Head Bespoke Shirt-Cutter Tom Bradbury will be more than happy to advise you.

02

Following your consultation, Tom will create a unique paper pattern from your personal measures as taken during the appointment.

As you can see in this quicktime video, everything is cut by Tom, by hand, inside our shop.

Using that pattern, Tom then cuts out the shirt using the chosen cloth. All the various different elements are then put in a ‘bundle’ that goes into our Savile Row workroom to be made up.

It’s then button-holed, buttoned and professionally pressed before being sent to Tom to be checked for quality.

03

At this time you’re invited to return for your shirt fitting.

Alternatively, we’d be happy to make an appointment to see you where you are, or during one of our normally regular, scheduled trunk shows.

Any necessary alterations are made at this point and agreed with you.

On return to the Cutting Room, Tom also makes any necessary alterations to your unique pattern.

All customer patterns are securely kept at 10 Savile Row.

Congratulations! Your bespoke shirt order is complete.
