Dege & Skinner has a long and trusted relationship with Marylebone Cricket Club, or as it is more commonly known around the world, MCC. Even the MCC President shops with us for his official MCC attire!

As well as being authorised to sell official MCC items, in 2015 as part of London Collections Men/London Fashion Week, Dege & Skinner along with 18 other fine bespoke tailors of Savile Row held a presentation at the MCC’s home ground, Lord’s Cricket Club.

English Gentlemen

Joining forces with London’s best bootmakers, other shirt makers and top end hatters, in an event titled 'The English Gentleman At Lord's', we presented over one hundred outfits showcasing the modern day face of traditional British men's style. The event was spread throughout Lord’s cricket ground, the spiritual home of England’s most quintessentially elegant game.

Clothing on show included Cool Wool suits, sports jackets, blazers and flannel waistcoats with trousers. And those modelling the clothes included professional models and friends and customers of Savile Row, including actor Dougray Scott and writer and journalist AA Gill.

Fry's Ties

In his recent book titled 'Fry's Ties', current MCC President Stephen Fry very kindly extolled the virtues of his MCC necktie, purchased from us here at Number 10 Savile Row.

To quote the book and MCC President Stephen Fry directly, “I think that, unlike the Garrick Club’s ‘salmon and cucumber’ tie, which can be sported anywhere, it is rather frowned upon to wear the MCC’s ‘egg and bacon’ anywhere other than Lord’s. To wear it to a match at Oval or Headingly, for example, would surely be the height of bad form.”
