When Michael was elected Master of the Merchant Taylors’ Company in 2004, he became the first practising Master Tailor to achieve this position in 350 years.
Our Team
Dege & Skinner is one of Savile Row's finest bespoke tailoring houses and the first one to have a shirt-cutting service based in the shop, where all our bespoke shirts are cut and made.
William Skinner
Managing Director
William is the fifth generation of the Skinner family to become a Master Tailor. He is a past Appeal Chairman of the Master Tailors’ Benevolent Association and, more recently, was the elected Chairman of the Savile Row Bespoke Association.
Nicholas De'Ath
Creative Director
With extensive experience of both tailoring and cutting, Nicholas was appointed Head Cutter in 2016 and became Creative Director in 2024. Nicholas leads the team of cutters and specialist tailors on a day to day basis, alongside travelling extensively throughout the world to visit customers.
Tom Bradbury
Head Bespoke Shirt-Cutter
Tom honed his skills as an apprentice under the legendary shirt-maker Robert Whittaker and in 2019, became Savile Row's youngest Head Shirt-Cutter. Tom regularly hosts overseas Trunk Shows, in conjunction with our tailoring cutters.
Alex Hills
Cutter
Alex joined the company in 2013, originally training as a coat maker. Eager to learn more of the craft he was invited to join the bespoke cutting team by now Creative Director Nicholas De'Ath and now looks after his own customers as an integral part of the bespoke cutting team.
Jonathan Atkins-Hewitt
Front of House
Jonathan joined us in September 2022 having worked in London's high-end clothing sector for seven years. Developing a personal interest in bespoke tailoring and high-level customer service, Jonathan runs our front of house and oversees our Made-to-Measure service.
Ciara Pignatelli
Cutter
Ciara joined in April 2023 as an Apprentice Cutter. With a background in the design and creation of costumes, Ciara works closely with Creative Director Nicholas De'Ath and now has expertise in both civilian and military bespoke tailoring.
Xanthe Godwin
Apprentice Shirt-Cutter
Xanthe joined in 2023 as an Apprentice Shirt-Cutter. Now under the guidance of Head Shirt-Cutter Tom Bradbury, Xanthe has been involved in the creation of our first 'House Collection' of shirts, launched in 2025 to mark the company's 160th Anniversary.
