Continuing with the profiles of team members who have been successful in the Golden Shears, introducing Alex Hills.
Adventure Attire

Spirit of Adventure
Bespoke Cutter Alex Hills joined Dege & Skinner in 2013 and was originally training to be a coat maker under Saad Ktifi.
Eager to learn more of the craft of bespoke tailoring, Alex was invited to join the bespoke cutting team by former Head Cutter and now Creative Director, Nicholas De'Ath.
As we like to do it here at 10 Savile Row, Alex is now dedicated to looking after his own valued bespoke customers, as an integral part of the bespoke cutting team.
Alex Hills' Golden Shears Finalist outfit is currently on display in the shop window at Number 10 Savile Row, as part of 50 Years of Golden Shears, during London Fashion Week.

Interwar
Inspired by the period of menswear between the two World Wars, Alex chose to design and make a suit for active wear, referencing interwar styles of skiing, golfing and shooting.
His choice of cloth was West Country woollen mill and merchant, Fox Brothers.
In the history of the 20th century, the interwar period, also known as the interbellum, lasted from 11 November 1918 to 1 September 1939. It was relatively short, yet featured many social, political, military, and economic changes throughout the world.
