Wool Month

October is officially WOOL MONTH, part of the global Campaign for Wool. Now in its 16th year, since the inaugural Savile Row Field Day public event in October 2010.

Global Care

The Campaign for Wool shines a light on the people, places, skills, and products behind this extraordinary natural fibre, from the land and the farmers who care for their sheep, through to the mills, makers, designers, and brands creating with wool today.

No bespoke!

We adore wool. An irreplaceable and vital element of our bespoke tailoring handcraft. Without wool, there’d be no fine bespoke tailoring nor indeed, the impressive innovations in shirt fabrics, as observed by our Head Shirt Cutter Tom Bradbury and his team in our Cutting Room and bespoke tailoring workshop, which is located underneath the shop here at Number 10 Savile Row.

Recent innovations by our favoured Italian shirt cloth suppliers have led to the availability of some rather impressive cotton/wool, linen/wool blended shirt fabrics, which are proving to be extremely popular amongst our growing customer base for bespoke shirts.

So what makes wool so desirable?

There are so many tested and irrefutable reasons why wool is irreplaceable for us as fine bespoke tailors, so why not head over to the official Campaign for Wool website to read for yourself what makes this natural fibre such a wonder of the world, and bespoke tailoring.
